PADI Wreck Diver Specialty

Wrecks may be deliberately sunk to provide artificail reefs for divers or may be underwater museums that show us a vessels last moments. Also, they are not restricted to ships, as airplanes, tanks and cars may also provide fascinating dive sites. Whatever they are, they also attract large amounts of aquatic life.
This specialty course is popular as it offers insights and practise in the skills and knowledge needed to get the most from safely investigating and exploring wrecks.

During 4 dives you will learn about:
- Safety considerations for navigating and exploring wrecks.
- Surveying and mapping a wreck.
- Using penetration lines and reels to guide exploration.
- Techniques to avoid kicking up silt or disturbing the wreck and its inhabitants.

The first dive of this PADI Specialty Diver course may credit as an Adventure Dive toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
If you’re at least 15 years old and have earned a PADI Adventure Diver certification or higher, you can enroll in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.
